About us

Tomas Henriksson Fishing Company has been a commesiell fishing guide since 2012, and mostly been fishing in Lake Mälaren and the southern parts of Stockholm archepilago, but I also do guided tours in Lake Vänern and Vättern (trolling Salmon, Trout, Char in December).

I can reccomend the big Lake Mälaren which is attached to Baltic Sea. It’s a lake where you can experience one of Sweden’s best and reliable freshwater fishing. Lake Mälaren has a lot of species, but we mainly fish for Pike, Perch and Zander (I can recommend a evening trolling trip for Zander in the sunset).

The area around my meetingpoints has the numbers alike to be called one of the best freshwater fishing spots in Sweden. A good verification of this are that some of Sweden’s biggest fishing tournaments are often located in this area.

My boat is certified up to 5 customers, but I recommend max 4pers. We use a 6.8 meter long, specially built Anytec 622 SPF, with a 150hp Yamaha engine (all from 2016). When more people than 5, we fill in with more boats and guides. All boats are fully equipped with chartplotter (GPS), sonar, VHF radio and of course a lot of fishing gears …

Fishing Locations and Offers

Fishing trips are availabile from April to November, every day from approx. 8 am to sunset, upon agreement with the fishing guide. The start and end times are flexible and can extend from a single day of fishing to as many days as you want.

If you want to stay a night or more right by the lake, there is simple spartan rooms at Rastaholm Ekerö, and there is a really nice restaurant where you can enjoy lovely meals at restaurant terraces with a wonderful sea view, and have a cold beer before eating dinner at the restaurant, admiring the sunset reflecting in the Lake.

The island is a calm and uncrowded place located 25 km west of Stockholm and connected to the mainland by several bridges, so it’s close enough to the city, but at the same time far out in the nature.
See locations in this link  https://henrikssonsfiske.se/meetinglocations and click on meeting point nr.2 Ekerö/Rastaholm.

There are ofcourse other “more luxury”/normal Hotels or Houses to rent close to Mälaren. Just let me know what you want, and I will recommend some places.

A Day Out with a Fishing Guide

A full-day fishing trip takes approx. 7.5 – 8h and a half-day – approx. 4 – 4,5h, but this is of course open to adjustments to your wishes.
Normally a full day starts at 8 am and we are back at 4 pm, and a half day starts at ~4:30-5pm (usually when we do evening trolling for Zander) but we can customize if you wish.
The guides share their experience all day long, so you as a customer succeed as well as possible! Fishing methods: spin fishing, jig fishing, jerk fishing, vertical fishing, trolling.

When you go fishing with us, all fishing equipment, life jacket, floating suite, coffee/bun & cold drinks is always included, and we can arrange lunch if you wish (normally at full days).

How to Get Here

The easiest way to get to find good meetingpoints (and get to them) is to use Google Maps via my homepage, that showing my most common meeting places. See in this link  https://henrikssonsfiske.se/meetinglocations

If you are interested of stay at Rastaholm, se link www.rastaholm.se , you can go there by car or bus from or via Stockholm City. If you travel by car from south of Stockholm City, there is a ferry at Slagsta as a short cut. Slagsta Ferry at Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/aokuRDzABPL2.
