About me

I am biologist. Working as a journalist and TV presenter on programs about fishing and local activities. Been in a lot of places around the world. (www.nomad.lv)
I do prefer to fish as close to my home as possible.
I do like trout fishing by artificial lures a lot.
Second passion is chasing for Big perch in all seasons.
Third is “Chasing Silver” in Latvian river and bit on a shore too.
Was a member of Latvian trout fishing team in apr. 12 different World championships held by FIPS.
Was a member of Latvian team in Spinning from boats and trainer of Black Bass team too.
Father of four, living in a countryside, guiding tourists , working on river restoration projects and organizing different events in own restored old railway station.
Personal best achievment is introducing grayling population in river Ogre upstreams from Ērgļi.

Offer description

I do like sustainable approach, so in  lakes under 400 ha I do use a rowing boat. It helps me to be in a good physical and mental strength. But I have a possibility to pack a motorboat too. For finding fish and mapping I use Humminbird Helix 10 SI. I do like active fishing. Varying between disciplines. Spinning, fly fishing, trout fishing are main subjects of my interest. And I try to put it together with local history, tales and reciepes. Preferably from local products.
